My dealer made a uick pricesheet of some, i hope god there is more, options on the new RS6.
No news really, the Sport Suspension with three levels are about 1 200 euros.
The V-max is about 2000 euros and includes a designpackage in carbon in the engine bay.
The sheet did not have any prices for the Sport exhaust (a must), no line assist an no black optics. Nor the titaniumrims that I really want.
Parkingassist Advanced (with camera?) is quite cheap, 600 euros.
Ipod connection is 300 euros, advanced key about 1300 euros. DVD navi 2900 euros.

8300 EUR you summed up so far, little more and you will have one extra VW Polo in your RS 6...

Those are killer priced options you have in Sweden. That stuff (like Nav/advanced key) should be free on such an expensive car. Of course Audi is probably only following the Porsche way of business, make options (that should be standard) cost 30% of starting price.
rofl@POS ipod connector being 300 euros
Just some exampels.
Back from my dealer, Sweden is getting 40 cars this year.
Lots of options wherent avaliable in Audis computersystem so I couldnt spec a car proper, will get some more answers next week.
The Sport exhaust is not in production yet, neither is the ceramic (10k euros!).
About the deliverydate; i qoute: "This year, we hope"![]()

It's all very disappointing really, given the cost of the car and Audi's image - as if once they've got your money off the back of the hype, they're not really all that interested.
I think one of the problems is that Audi has not such a big experience in selling high end, high cost cars. Compare with AMG for instance who have been doing it for some 20+ years. Now I know the AMG buying experince isn't flawless, but it's no excuse for Audi when they're entering a "new" market.
To "invest" in an RS6 is a lot of money. You could buy a nice house for the same amount of money in some parts of Sweden.
You should expect the best service and nothing else.
I had similar problems when I specced my A6 2.7T a few years back.
At the end the sales guy just gave me the dealer's price list (quattro GmbH) and said find it yourself.
Now I was happy with that, and happy with the car.
Another problem is that they earn more money (totally, incl service etc.) if they sold 3-4 standard A3s instead of one RS6. (a bit of guess work from my side, but probably not far from the truth, give or take.)
And selling a standard A3 is a no hassle, straight out of the price list deal for the sales guy.
The press will get their first drives in January...let's wait!![]()

Erik,
Excellent post! I had similar experience with my Audi dealer here. He is pretty helpfull but, in the end I specd the car(R8) by myself. Even guyy responsible for communication directly with the factory(and quattro GmbH) was not the most knowledgeble person... So, I decided to go directly to the Neckarsulm in end of January for a visit.
For example be very carefull with Audi Exclusive items(specially leather Packages)! Sometimes you imagine in your head how should it look and when car arrives-it is not IT! So, doubl check everything in case you are ordering any Exclusive items on R8 or RS6 Avant...
The biggest problem here is that the forum members here are way ahead of time with info on this car. When it was shown at Frankfurth the Audi Representative said that no cars for dealers (Germany)before March erliest. We can not suppose to get answers from a Swidish or Norwegian dealer on these matters before late January, I would think. There is circulating more info on the RS6 on this forum than any dealer would know of.... As they are only relying on info from their German Audi contact.Just some exampels.

Also, 40 cars for Sweden this year, this is a very high number. Will there be buyers for all these cars ??? Norway are expecting to sell 3-5. Maybe 10 total.
This is Correct and also let me explain how this production works; These RS6 cars who are produced now and untill end January are all ; press/audi AG/Show cars/ German dealer show cars.Another problem is that they earn more money (totally, incl service etc.) if they sold 3-4 standard A3s instead of one RS6. (a bit of guess work from my side, but probably not far from the truth, give or take.)

These cars are all pre speced with fixed equipment and extras not possible to change. If you are a German dealer and put yourself in for getting a RS6 you will have the car early in time, but you can not change the spec and extras on it. Not even the colour outside or inside. You have to take what you get. These cars are also sold from the factory with a little more discount to the dealers and they are so called intro-cars.
I just think we all have to be patient a little while longer.
Another thing: If you take the price list for extra equipment for S8 and compare it to the extras on the RS6 it should not be to far away moneyvise.
Also one last thing. Those of you who have already bought a Audi with Quattro GMBH spec extras, or a RS car know that every thing that goes trought quattro GMBH is never on time and always take a little bit longer to deliver... Either its an exclusive painting or some hide/lether on the dashboard from Quattro GMBH it will be due late.

I remember a friend who order his M5 E39 with a lot of special interior.
I don't think I have pics of it still, but it was a green on green (I think) and it was just horrible. We all had a laugh, it was a very special car indeed.:trash:
Very true! Things move very quickly and a lot of the "rumors" we hear from exhibitions, sources etc. aren't official. Altough the options etc. may be real, the information doesn't get to the dealers in time. But they need a lot of education as well. Just look at all the engine alternatives on a model like the A4.![]()
When I visited the Ingolstadt factory I think they mentioned the number of combinations on how to build an A3 is so big almost every car is uniqe.
Also true. You have to expect longer delivery using Audi Exclusive but hopefully it is worth it. Now where is my RS6 Avant with Suzuka Grey Pearl effect...?
At last, thanks a lot tonsberg31 for your contribution/donation today to the forum :asian::asian:

Dear tonsberg31,
true words! There is not more to say. But let me bring the Service Knowledge in. Actually the new RS6 is by far the most painful car to service, yet. Just think about how narrow the Enginebay is-, as well as the whole drivetrain including DRC. Just like it is handled with the R8 for example, you can expect only special certified Dealers to sell and service the car. Thoughts are even going in a direction where you may find a special national Audi R/RS Servicecenter for qualified assistance. As there has been unnecessary service recalls/rework due to unrefined service personal.
Give your local Dealer a chance to learn about new Cars. It takes them longer to achieve the same level as most of the Friends here share. As well they can only pass on information they received, and as you might know, they do not have a advantage.
If you do know everything in advance, it takes away the thrill of anticipation.
This place is unique, great members, knowledge and (most of the time) respectful behaviour.![]()

I've the mag right next to me at the moment, nothing really new, but AutoBild is always right ( well most of the time)
Autobild:
Audi glitters with an explotion of premieres in 2008.
The first is the all new A3 Convertible with 4 engines from 105 to 200HP and a price lower than 28k
Similar expansive - the new A4 Avant. Engines from 125 to 265HP (like saloon so far).
At the very top of the HP-hierarchy is the RS6 Avant with 580HP
All three are released in May 2008
The RS6 Saloon will follow short after the faclift of A6 at the end of 2008
Summer 2008 we'll have the A3 facelift and the TTS with a 275HP strong 2.0T
September is the month of the Q5 with a price round 38k.
For the end of 2008 Audi pushes it to the hardest with the introduction of the S4 Saloon and Avant with 354HP and the top-model Q7 V12 TDI.
And may be an eyecatcher for 2009 will be shown in late 2008, too - the A5 convertible.
so far from Autobild
RS6 saloon production starts in may and sale is in autumn
