Question Carbon Side Blades in US

What's the story on ordering carbon fiber side blades on first delivery US cars? Is Audi really having trouble sourcing them in sufficient quantities, and is that why they are currently not an option in the updated order guide?

Nothing to answer your qustion in particular, (heard this rumour in different forums) but a potential solution:

I overheard a salesman at the R8 presentation in Vienna, that the blades can be changed without a problem - takes ~1/2 hour.

You just have to invest in the carbon blades + labor, when the availability becomes better.

I ordered my car this past week and they think the blades might be in stock for the fall delivery so my order was note as carbon lades if available.
