From this being my background, I understand the view that this sign it depicting but Lateknight you should know that in the UK it's the Government that has made fuel prices in this country what they are today and not the fuel companies.

We are presently paying in access of £1 per litre for Super Leaded fuel, that $1.97 per litre or in old money the price per Imperial gallon is $8.72, remember that our American brothers the next time you go and fill up.

I you wanna be pedantic about it why didn't you also mention that theres no BP logo on the sign?

Sorry, I was taking it to personal, owning a few petrol stations over the years and constantly being told by customers that it's us ripping them off when it clearly isn't.

I know the sign was a joke and shouldn't have let it get to me, apologises everyone.
