RS6.com video: RS6 Avant with sports exhaust

Ladies & Gentlemen,

It's time for the misano red Audi RS 6 Avant again!
This car has the sports exhaust and sports suspension.
We're soon to publish our next article which is when this car
went to ACE Competition for an upgrade of the ECU à la Hohenester (German tuner).
That means the V8 produces 500 hp and about 680 Nm after chipping.

It's illegal to drive this fast in most countries so of course all the footage was done on the German Autobahn.

The driver made a few runs that day and he does not remember
which cllips were before and after the chip. He recons most clips are before the chip.

In any case most runs should be sub 5 seconds to 100 km/h and something around 10 seconds to 160.

And yes, that's a Volvo T-4 getting toasted in the end.

WOW WOW WOW! When o when will I be getting my RS6...

The new Road & Track comparision favorably viewed the RS6. It fell to 2nd place though when they figured in price.

That's quite an impressive performace, although it's hard to tell exactly how impressive as I'm used to thinking in mph not kph!

Now I'm torn between chipping the RS 6 and a new A8. Why do Audi have to make life so difficult?

I repeat. I think most - if not all - clips are before the chipping.

From 0 - 100 km/h there was little difference but on 402 m (1/4 mile) the figures went from high 12s to low 12s.

Great stuff. The idle from the Sport exhaust is most definitely very cool. This is what I've chosen to, but now I'm wondering if chrome tips are better.
Nonetheless, wonderful machine.

I stand corrected. Still difficult for me to see kph and try to multiply it by 1.6 in my head though!

The car has got 450 hp in the movies. 10 secs is within specs.
