He's maybe not so much of a friend? Sounds like the Green-Headed monster has gotten ahold of him.

Well expressed MR USER , I feel the same about the Rs4 .

When you work at a dealer (especially when you work ON the cars, all the time) its always the cars with problems they will remember.

They never seem to remember the 95% of cars that come through the shop trouble free.

If your friend is an experienced technician he will probably get most of the these 'problem cars' and very little else.
So its of little surprise he's got that opinion. (He could have had a bad day/week also - try asking him on a different day)

What problem(s) is he bantering about ? It doesn't really matter now does it, I don't know of any car that doesn't and didn't have "problems".

Best way to sum it up is like this, God made humans, and look how many hospitals there are, how can we be expected to make something that doesn't break down and needs repair.

I've has 5 Audis (S3, S4, A4 1.9 TDi, S4, RS4) - and only been into the dealer once for anything other than routine servicing (lateral acceleration sensor failed on the S3 so the ESP stopped working).
