Well looks like I was not the only one that has said fairwell to my RS6

What a wonderfull journy it has been. There are many things I will miss about the car and some things that I will not miss. I will long for the exhaust, endless power and agressive looks. I will not miss the qurky problems that the dealers could not replicate and fix. Problems were not huge but always there. I will not miss the crappy US spec seats.

There have ben some wonderful memories and great people met through the car. Not that I am going anywhere, as I will still be hanging around.

I wanted to switch it up and support a company I have been helping out in their race program by getting one of our package cars.

This is sort of what it will look like but with silver wheels.

Should be a fun car and I love the chassis and style. Can't wait for the upgrades.

Oh and here is a few pictures of our race cars which are the inspiration for the package cars.

Out of 8 races so far the year we have won 3 and set 3 new track records this year. The team stands in 3 in manufactures and 4th 8th and 18th in drivers positions.

We race in the SPEED World Challenge TC series here is a link to the website.

Also, here is a link to some in-car video from Miller and Mosport. Both are Chip Herr who is in 4th place currently. They are at the bottom of the page.

    Ben,

The A4 is still an engineering masterpiece.

    Which model are you getting?

I have gotten the 2.0T quattro with S-line, Titanim pkg and just about every option. Probably keep the car for a year or so and have some fun with it. The car takes very well to upgrades.

    I hear you!

    Well Ben,

Sorry to hear the Beast is going, but from our conversation we had a couple of months back, it's no suprise. I'm hoping you'll really enjoy the A4. Are you still planning on getting the other Audis your were talking about? And BTW, what about the B5? Still going to keep it?

Guys, give it 2 more years, and I'm betting there will less than a bakers dozen original RS 6 owners here. The ranks are dwindling fast...

    Leaving our RS6s

    Ben and Bauer,
I know how you guys will or have felt. My RS6 is up at the end of the year, and I was so close to buying a new S8. In the end, my wife wanted me to get a coupe, and try something different. One of our neighbors just got a new M6, and she (my wife) loved it. So today I bit the bullet and put a deposit down on a new 2007 M6. I feel like a trader, and all I have to comfort me is the fact that when her minivan lease is up, we are getting her a new Q7. I wish the new RS6 was available, that way I would satisfy all of my needs with one car. Maybe when my practice grows, I can get a second car (hee hee, that S8 or RS6). I am going to lease the M6 for 2 or 3 years and then probably get another Audi.

    Ben -

Still got the B5 S4. I have thought about selling it and picking up a certain track car if you know what I mean . But I am going to keep it for now.

Jen and I are still looking at a D3 S8 as well, but that probably will not happen until early next year. I will be back when the C6 RS6 comes out as well.

    Noushy,

M6 looks like a great car but I too am looking forward to the new RS6. In the meantime I am going to have a little fun with the new car.

    Cheers,

    Ben

No need to feel like a trader. The M6 isn't that bad. The wife will like the Q7. I pick up one for the wifey in a couple of weeks, good soccer mom mobile.

    Ben,

Yeah, I catch your drift about a certain kind of car. Enjoy the 2.0T and I'm sure Jennifer is looking forward to the S8.

    a little OT

    Ben,
I heard that BMW is going to release an M version of the next X5. I also heard that there is going to be a V10 version of the Q7. Do you know anything about that as well? I am also toying with the idea of getting a RS4 for my winter/daily driver and keeping the M6 for the summer and when the weather is good. I have a line on a really nice demo that might be around 10K less or so (around 60k). That would keep me in the family.

    OT but its all good...

    I think I'm the Ben you're asking (??? ),

Not interested in a S/M SUV (and no, I do not mean S&M SUV [wouldn't be interested in that either...]). For me, a sedan is the biggest I want to go with a "S/RS/M" model if you know what I mean. I haven't heard any "inside" rumors as to what Audi plans for the Q7. The upcoming V12TDI however is very much what I'm interested in. Going to track days and races, with my father also owning a boat, makes a heavy duty Q7 something I would like to own. A "race" version, not so much.

And the RS 4 is a great idea. Audihead his. . Great driver's car.
