What would you suggest then as an alternative?
What are you running now that the Hawks didn't work for you?

i will let you know how TRW holds on...for my daily driving they should be ok, i did pushed them a little bit tonight and they do get a bit too hot quickly, so they're not for track, but for every day use i guess it should do the job...

Stay away from EBC Reds as well (unless you like blued rotors)

I am moving over to Stoptech Street Performance.

The Ceramics are their own style, doesn't sound good though. The HPS is a more typical compound, and I plan on putting the HPS+ in for some track driving this fall...or just general if they don't squeal or dust too bad.

mik15, your car looks sweet with those exhaust pipes, nice ride!

mik15: For your future brake needs check out https://www.frozenrotors.com/

I have cryo'd the front OEM rotors, which double the life of the rotors. ($56.00 a rotor plus freight) They are mated with Hawks HPS and I can't say enough good things about the marriage. They grab better than factory, noiseless (if one follows instructions), and 99% dustless. Since I'm not a track guy, I can't speak for that arena, but for the street, hands down it's everything I personally want and need a braking system. BTW: Your car looks great, nice set of tips!

well...probably when the time will come to buy new rotors i will send them for cryo, thanks for the tip. The tips are part of the ABT package, not my merit, i bought it like this, actually here almost all RS6 came with the ABT package and a few with the MTM, i saw only one which is stock...

Really on the EBCs? What did they do? I didn't have any issues with several sets and track days red or yellows. Considerably less dust, and not near the usual RS6 screeching.

Pretty sure they changed the formula or manufacturing process, but all of us EBC Red users now have an issue where the pads over heat the rotors and blue them (or the pads over heat and deposit on the rotors). Even on normal street driving.

I don't have those issues with the Yellows, but then the Yellows are what EBC considers their track, or high temprerature pad. I have a set of the Yellows on the RS6 as well as the Cayenne Turbo (they also call the Yellows their Track or SUV pad). They do dust almost as much as stock but they stop much better, even when hot.

You sent them a fresh set of OEM rotors to them or bought their rotors? I'm curious how their rotors are? Is anyone running them? What are the advantages/disadvantages of drilled vs slotted? I assume drilled give better cooling?
