Driver side is easy & straightforward.
Passenger side is a bit tricky, but definitely doable.
Your mechanic just doesn't want to deal with it.
Unrelated to DRC.
Low on fluid or something else amiss (bad ABS module?).
Check fluid & scan for codes.
Steve, correction: there actually is an afterrun pump in both configurations. Just two different flow directions. "Early style" just ties into the "normal water feed", thus doesn't really aftercool...
Hi Ivan.
That's the difference between early and late styles.
Early style has aftercooling plumbed away from rad.
Later style has aftercooling plumbed via the electrically controlled "flow...
Also, you have A LOT of vacuum in the charge pipe (!!!) under WOT.
Forgot rags in the intake piping or something?
You didn't mention you were messing with the tune.
Revert LAMFA. Stop doing what you don't really understand.
There are little to none "idiot checks" with the CPS. It can behave like you're describing when the sensor is giving erratic readings.
Coding has nothing to do with it (nor you can really change it...
Sounds like a crankshaft position sensor issue.
Welcome! ;)
Slightly off topic, but:
I just had aftermarket S6 radiator fitted. Nissens brand, part number 60424, super cheap (like $200). VAG OEM part number 4B3121251D.
It's a direct drop-in replacement to...
That's exactly what I meant.
Hitting L2 monitoring thresholds makes the ECU either reboot or go limp mode with no power (EPC, but no DTC).
ESP might indicate some load measuring issues (MAF...
Definitely a tune issue.
Possibly hitting torque monitoring thresholds. "No DTC" is a nice indication of that.
"AC control unit" is the thing with buttons in your center console, not the fan control module you're speaking of.
Check group 033 with VCDS.
Try to catch the issue with ME7L running.
Slightly unequal MAFs are normal, that's due to the difference in WG actuators.
Suspect intermittent EGT sensor issues. Not...
You don't have to remove the seat. TCM most likely had taken a swim. Take it out, have a look.
I believe S6 ones should have a different part number. Was more of a "general advice for future readers" if they don't verify part numbers. When buying a used part advertised as RS6 for example.
Make sure you get RS6. S6 also came with HID (optional?), but the projector is smaller.
Bear in mind, you want any water (condensation) being able to naturally drain from the sensor.
So don't install it horizontally or facing upwards.
Probably one (or more) air flap motors gone bad.
Just one heater & AC core.
I crushed mine when doing the first MT swap like 8 years ago. Was already NLA back then. I was lucky enough to find a used one.
The next option would be finding some hydraulic line shop to crimp new...
Exhaust cams are the same.
Intake cams are different.
RS6 exhaust valves are smaller & sodim-filled for better cooling.
Intake valves should be the same, but I didn't verify part numbers. 90%...
Do you have part numbers?
I have a strong suspicion you're talking CNG high-flow injectors & it's very typical for them to be so different.
1000cc 040s do have the orifice plate, and they're...
I don't get what you're arguing about.
OP had already bought & installed those injectors & they're sufficient for his goals.
For your car - just by installing a 4 bar FPR you're going to 880hp...
I'd stay away from 5 bar FPR. Putting unnecessary strain on fuel pumps.
If anything, a 3.8 bar from Porsche 997tt is a much better option (it has a bigger return internally, which might behave...
