Someone ordered a trans rebuild so I had my core rebuild and ready to ship. Now he is not responding to emails so I am posting it here if someone needs one.
Thanks!
I bought one of those seals in case I run into a leaky one and after 100+ trans removal I have yet to find one leaking. Leaks are coming from the valve cover and run down onto the bell housing behind...
I would pull the front diff cover and count the ring and pinion gears to be sure.
Did you remove the half shaft and the seal tube from the DS?
Speed Signal / GALA (Pin# B3): It is probably easiest to cutthis wire from the harness and connect it directly to yourconnection behind the instrument cluster.
If you...
B. EXT Control Connector (CD Changer, PhatBox,
OEM SAT tuner etc.) (Female pins/wires: #000-979-009)1 - Most Ring break (NC)
2 - CDC-NF GND (audio ground for CD changer)
3 - V-Signal (analog speed...
If the fluid level is correct, then you should have 600-700 input speed in P or N. If the filter is cracked or missing the O-ring you are not able to fill the trans to the correct level. You can...
Yes, but that was the Euro D2 W12.
It is almost impossible to overfill it by that much unless they did it on the floor tipped to the side. If the seal between the trans and center diff is leaking transfluid can get into the diff.
Yes, it should be 0 rpm unless the car is moving.
I need to send one out, but can't pick between ACE, Edge, 517.
The C6 S6 has the ZF 6HP26A Trans that can hold a lot of power. They have those in much heavier SUVs (range Rover) and more HP cars (AM DB9 6.0 V12). I wouldn't worry about putting 600hp into it.
looks like you have a lot of codes that related to low battery voltage. I would charge it, clear the codes and see if it goes into limp mode as soon as you turn the ignition on or when you start the...
Most likely the F piston.

Like the others said, it is not the TC. If it was the TC, it would do it in higher gears more. One you pass the 1800 stall speed it locks up. Your second gear is going.
The problem was the missing O-ring. I would never trade the shaeffer's for the vw/audi fluid. Synthetic>mineral.
They didn't. If you search ebay A8, you will see that '04-'06 V8 and W12 had the 6HP26 the '07-up is 5HP19.
The axle line is ~7" from the motor on yours. the 6HP26 is around 2". You need to put a 5" spacer to have the axles straight. You also need to extend your TC by 5". Only the 6HP19 would fit without...
I see that you are really fired up to do this :) I would just get a TCU stuff figured out before swapping transmissions. Audi is very particular about TCUs. you can't even make another C5 TCU work in...
'04-'06 has the 6HP26A. The later ones with the FSI engine has the 6HP19. They try to save a buck just like they did on the C5 allroad. All C5 A/S RS6 with the V8 had the 5HP24A except the allroad...
The trans on the jack is a 6HP19 out of a 4.2 Phaeton. The D3 A8 also has the 6HP19.
Unfortunatelly the D2 got old so people junking them.
The 6HP26 is way stronger than the 5HP24. The Aston Martin...
That will be nearly impossible. Aside of the physical dimension differences, the 6HP26 has the TCU inside the trans.
Empty, you have your G28 engine speed sensor in the hole below already.
