Another daytona gray RS5 that a coworker in Belgium test drove.
He's been a BMW driver ever since I could remember but if he had the money, he mentioned that he'd have a hard time deciding between...
The other thing that Audi kept hush-hush was the use of a variable turbine geometry turbo.

I thought this was a given, as their TDI engines are...
Toronto decided to do something differently before the 420 event....

I think there are a couple benefits for sure - smaller package and weight. More we can save on weight the better.
As for the other reason, aren't the current torsen-based centre diffs an...
I don't have the links but the discussion is on http://forums.quattroworld.com/rs4b7/
Willing to be it were the bean counters. They could have made the sport diff a standard feature with this RS.
It does affect power. Couple guys on quattroworld.com dyno'ed their RS4 before and after the cleaning and there's a difference in the charts and such. I've always wondered about measuring something...
Curious on that new centre differential, anything out there with more technical stuff about this diff? (Darn it having a brain fart this morning in where I wanted to post this message).
Looks like it FINALLY disappeared off their portfolio section within the last few hours, though the images are still on their site ... if you know the URL. Audi AG has to be pretty peeved over this...
He's okay which is good...

Actually it's more like xDrive vs quattro :) OR from what it looks like at least in the photo.
Of course yeah I know, one has better tires than the other but still hilarious.
Test drove the R8 last week and wow, that V10 behind you is sweet.

Now everything else I'm in is utterly slow :)

Nice car, nice composition, nice post processing!
Call me crazy or not, but I'd love to see this in the next RS4..... oh that sound.
Ah yes, I think I misread something or read some bad information.... yes, the 7-speed DSG in the new S4 can handle up to 550nm (406 lb-ft) so theoretically it could have been used in the TT-RS.
What's the max torque that the 7-speed DSG can handle, wasn't it 450nm? If so, that's what this 2.5 turbo puts out, so guessing the reason why there isn't an S-tronic.
Here's the big question... do the majority of the drivers of the BMW Xi, Audi quattros, Subaru STI's etc, really take full advantage of the AWD capability of these cars in snowy/gravel conditions?

LOL @ the engine specs :)
Love that shot, too bad there's no larger version.
I took a ride in the R8 around some backroad with a journalist a while ago, was a hoot, but it paled in comparison to what it did on the track. Given that I never have driven or got a ride around...
Not sure if this was posted already but 408 lb-ft of torque is nothing to sneeze at!

Found this on fourtitude.... note that this is for the A6 as it's only 290hp.

Nice compilation.... haven't browsed this area until now, wishing I did earlier as I noticed only the last two compilations are up.
