Yep, I left in early 2014, I think. I'm a patent attorney these days. You sold your RS? Shame!

Yep, still kicking. I don't drive the RS as much these days. My daily is a V10 TDi Touareg, but it's in the shop for warranty (extended) replacement of both turbos and the tandem pump. My lift is...
This is actually incorrect. The VR can be replaced without removing the alternator or undoing the acc belt. Oil lines come loose like the procedure above. The plastic cover over the back of the...
Thanks, Aaron. I sent you a few additional questions.
Well, the bounce and stiffness and ride height are part of the problems with a street car. None are really acceptable in the true sense. With aftermarket wheels, it might be a different story...
Easy to say, but the DRC is going to be better for street driving (when it works) and much, much cheaper.
If you inspect the struts regularly, you can see the leaking long before the DRC actually "fails" to the point where you need to purchase coilovers... you have plenty of time to prepare.
I'll think about it when the time comes. I was hoping for a "newer" setup. Keep me updated.
Elevens: I think you're forgetting about the elegant solution of the DRC system itself. As an engineer, I appreciate the idea and the execution. A well-functioning DRC will outperform coilovers for...
Too quick for me to get the alrightroad buying everything labeled RS6 placeholder
No problem, Jason. Glad we got it tackled in one afternoon. Let me know what it's like after the recharge.
Sounds like a deal to me. Let me know when you get your coilovers.
I can definitely help install the coilovers and get them setup, but I can't do the alignment. Achtuning has a great alignment...
I know there are a few of you who had the DRC recall performed and then swapped to coilovers shortly after. Do any of you still have your DRC struts around that you'd like to sell? My front left...
I had more noise with the Lubro-moly than the Pentosin with respect to valve noise immediately on startup
I'm out for tomorrow due to a conlaw final, but I'll try to make the 28th.
I've been overwhelmed with school and work lately... 100hrs per week between the two.
I wish I could make the meet on Wednesday. I have a final on the 8th, so I need to study that night. After...
I bought the car with a fresh Pentosin 5w-40, 505.01 change. My first self change I used Lubro Moly Hi Tech 5w-40, 505.01. I noticed a small change in exhaust note and the common lifter noise for...
Thanks, yes, I know.
Steve, very sorry to hear about the crack in the block (saw your post on WayOT). I'd just go forward with the spare engine and have the crack looked at for repair. I'd be surprised if it were in an...
Pat! I need your shipping address!
Have you seen my emails?
The connectors are probably just different. When I put the B5 RS4 Recaros in my B5 S4, I had to weld in a bracket for the manual slide, but the connectors for the airbags/heat/adjustments were also...
So, how did you get those rear pipes off? Did they separate?
I'd do both primary O2s, the other EGT, and the RH valve cover gasket (passenger side) while you're in there. Nothing would be worse than having to pull the engine again soon for an O2 failure, or a...
With the forum history that Marc guy has, I'm surprised anyone would even consider buying a car from him.
Oh well...
Are you kidding? You have a stage 3 S4 (like me) so you know who Marc is aka 10secs4 aka bigbluebeast aka king douchebag. I would NEVER buy a car from him. You know it's been beat to crap, been...
