Great looking rides - congrats!
Also, you're not the only "old-timer" that still checks in from time to time... ;-)

Also, you're not the only "old-timer" that still checks in from time to time... ;-)
Yeah, sorry about not seeing that thread - didn't mean to duplicate the conversation. I just now noticed that only the most recent posts are visible when not "logged in" - so I hadn't seen that one...
It's not really a question of the location of the turbos - it's the engineering and design of the oil and cooling systems for the bearings that are the real issue with many turbo failures...
Surprised that nobody else has mentioned this.
Who's getting one?
Opinions?

It may not FEEL as fast as the RS6, if that's what you mean, but in reality, it's quite a bit faster. The RS6 has old-school "nothing/bam" turbo lag - the 4.0TT's powerband is much smoother.
For...
The 4.0TT has 2 semi-common issues:
-failing PCV valve @ 40-60k miles, which is a $1500-$2000 fix outside of warranty
-turbos can fail, even without tuning
That said, it’s a paragon of...
Yep, saw that.
Performance figures aside, even Chris Harris said that the Model 3 DOES have what it takes to attract A4/3-Series/C-Class intenders.
Good to know that your Tesla has also been trouble-free.
One thing I gave up with the Tesla was uniqueness. There are LOTS of Model 3s out there, even if the Performance version remains...
The Model 3 RWD Long Range is EPA-rated at 325 miles of range, while my Performance version is rated at 310. The latest version of the Model S is rated at 370 miles, and Musk promises that 400 miles...
She ran 11.756 into a 20 mph headwind. Probably a high 11.5 in better conditions.
6 month update:
As predicted by the many Tesla naysayers, mine has been an absolutely horrific ownership...
Audi just extended the warranty on that PCV valve on 4.0TTs, so depending on the situation, some people may be eligible for reimbursement if they paid for replacement.
Mine failed at about 65K...
3 months and 2600 miles in and I can't wipe the grin off my face when I think about or drive the car.
Also, I just received an over-the-air update that added about 25 hp (yes, really), and...
LOL - good thing it's my car and not yours then, huh? "Beauty's in the eye...", and all that.
Everyone who has seen in in person or ridden in/driven it has been absolutely blown away. It's fun...
I love that sound too but I actually get a bigger kick out of this car's incredible responsiveness and handling.
And then there's this:

The thought of what's coming from other manufacturers ALMOST prevented me from buying the Tesla, but in the end I decided that Tesla's head start in battery tech and charging infrastructure would...
This x 1000!
The eTron GT looks like it will be very tempting, as long as the range and charging infrastructure are there.
Champion did everything they could (legally) do to get those RS6s to dance. Wider tires covered by huge fender flares, replacing suspension mounting points after every race, engine management mods,...
Thanks!
Also, wow, I had no idea that you had a Tesla! Good to know that it’s been a very positive experience.
I hemmed and hawed over this decision for months, but now that I have the car I...
Thanks.
The "Performance" part of the name is an understatement, to say the least. The way it warps forward from a stop is only surpassed by the way it leaps from any rolling speed to...
My fast and smooth '13 S6 has been replaced by this:

I was told by an Audi rep that there are electronics mounted on the bulkhead between the back seat and the trunk, so a fold-down seat isn't possible. Not sure about whether a ski pass-through is/was...
The D4 S8 is a sweet ride, for sure.
There's one thing that has prevented me from considering it as my next ride - the lack of a folding rear seatback. May not seem important to some, but I use...
FLARES!!
Plus report indicates that the more powerful variant will use hybrid tech to produce 700-ish HP:

We've used this guy a couple of times - good guy and good experiences all the way around:
Juan Carlos Bonitto - Mercury Auto Transport - 954-200-4494.
Excellent - what do I win?
