A member of the company´s extreme-performance G-series family of peripherals for PC gamers, the Logitech G25 wheel offers advanced features which, until now, could be found only in specialized or custom-made racing simulators that sometimes cost thousands of dollars to assemble. These features include a six-speed gated shifter and clutch pedal; two high-torque force-feedback motors; an 11-inch wheel; and a full 900 degrees of rotation. The wheel, shifter and pedals are made with premium materials such as stainless steel and leather, delivering the look and feel of parts from a race car cockpit.

The Logitech G25 Racing Wheel is compatible with current racing titles, such as rFactor™ and Live for Speed...

Not very cheap though, $299.99. Sound nice on paper, looks like logitech finally realized they need to use better materials and make their racing products a bit more robust. We'll have to wait for some tests though (once its out), to see if this is indeed as good as it sounds. :)

freerider,

Have you ever tried Grand Prix Legends for the PC. This is without a doubt the best PC Driver's game ever. Quite hard to get now, is the best part of 10 years old, but try it you will be hooked. The graphics aren't as good as the game of today, but none get close to the driving skill that is required to control one of these cars and there is no better a game to learn the ring on.

OMG...it will be soo hard not to get this :D
300$ is actually quite cheap for such a set!
And luckily also 900° mode.

I love the Logitech Momo, still the best. After that I haven't seen any good wheel at shops. Maybe now it's the time again.

I've played it as a kid. I think I still have it. Amazing how a game that old can still be that realistic. Together with GTR, Live For Speed, GT Legends, Gran Turismo (4) and Enthusia, this is one of my favorites. Never really liked the Toca series. I think there's something wrong with my setup for this game I think.

@Steve: You'd want to hurry to get the wheel. It's being produced in limited quantities. If only I had the money :(

Johan,

Great wheel! I guess it turns out Microsoft is creating a new wheel for the X Box 360... doubt it will be as nice as that one above though.

simply the best. And now even with an F1 (sauber BMW)!

that wheel is awesome, that together with the full support it's getting for Live For Speed is going to be a lot of fun :)

So I take it, you rate it a lot better than GT4 on the PS2. It will be interesting to see how the new GT5 on PS3 will compare.

It's hard to compare GT4 and LFS. GT4 has the funfactor of having real life cars, nice graphics, tuning, wheels, tracks (nurburg!) .... But it's a GAME. And for me GT4 was a bit GT3.5 :(
It didn't bring much new stuff compared to GT3. Sound of the cars still sucks imo, handling went up quite well though, and the choise of cars and tracks is great.

But then you have LFS. The driving experience is much more intense, you feel almost feel the car, sound is good, graphics are very nice ( depends on your pc though), you have multiplayer which is great, and you can fully adjust your car. LFS is simply more realistic and more rewarding. Certainly with a good wheel like the DFP 900°. LFS is simply more simulator like. Best game ever though if you ask me! And made by 3 guys!

Wow, a clutch pedal and everything? Even a gated shifter. It sounds more complicated than it should be with all those buttons and stuff. I guess if you want to get as real as possible, this is it.

I've been giving this wheel more and more thought. My current heel toe skills are worth as much as a rabbit's turd so I'm thinking I could greatly benefit from this new wheel from Logitech. And contrary to belief, you can't learn proper racing heel toe from back roads without risking a farging huge ticket. So this might be the way for me to go.
