Hi all,

This morning my mother stepted into her A4 and while she drove backwards she noticed there was wather on the floor behind the passengerseat. She told me that there was standing water above the carpets....and those soft carpets should be able to absorb pretty much. So it must be a big hole or leak.

She drove to the our garage and there they said
"well, suck up the water with a vacuumcleaner and put it into the garage." We'll be getting an appointment in a few days.
My mother didn't apreciated such an answer.

Still I find this extremely weird.

Anyone knows this problem? What could it be?

I had a similar problem in my A6.

It seems that water came in through below the windscreen, and step by step went from the drivers side back to the passenger side.

Cost me a new video-module for my Pioneer DVD-system for 350 USD that Audi did not replace... :eye:

Ouch costly problem.
So did it come there trough the coolingvent under the passengerseat?
I think the water comes from there. And the thing is that all that water came there on one night.

Strange...

We'll see

Hi Steve,

First of all, I suffered the similar problem with my previous car, it was a Golf mark 2. The car stood outside and it was raining buckets all day long. When I took place behind the steering-wheel I noticed that there stood 2 centimetres of water in the car. It was at the floor of the passenger's seat. I tried to find from where the water had come in. The rubber amongst the roof and which have to fit the car's door was worn-out.

After it was replaced by a new one, I never experienced this problem again. Because our garage only offers room for one car, it had to spend the night in open air. As I have said before, in my case it was the rubber that was worn-out. These rubbers have a tough time especially during the wintertime. I always open the doors carefully by frost. A very small opening or a small crack in one of those can cause you big trouble.

I Hope it can be easily fixed with a minimum of costs.

Good Luck Steve
