The Carlsson SLK Racer is fitted with a compressor boaster, exactly like the officially approved, road-going version. The 3.2l V6 engine of the supercharged SLK generates 400 bhp at 6200 rpm and maximum torque of 520 Nm at 3330-4600 rpm. It has a special exhaust system with twin, stainless steel metal catalytic converters. The engine of the SLK 320 Kompressor is mated to a 6-speed Getrag transmission and a reinforced rear-axle final drive with locking differential. Both units are fitted with an oil-cooling system.

The braking system with TRW four-piston aluminium brake callipers with two-part disks, 350 diameter x 32 mm, on the front axle, is identical to the road-approved Carlsson braking system. The rear axle is also fitted with TRW four-piston aluminium brake callipers, in this case with one-part disks measuring 300 mm diameter x 22 mm. The racing suspension of the SLK consists of Bilstein shock absorbers, which are adjustable in terms of height, compression and rebound, and comparable to the RS-sport chassis suspension (adjustable) system for the C-Class, and Eibach suspension springs and anti-roll bars.

For the wheels, the Carlsson Team opted for super-light FOMB-APP forged wheels in 19“ with Dunlop racing wheels for both axles.
