Upcoming Audi Meet in Texas, Prelim write up:
Hello everyone,
Its been 7 years since the last Statewide meet.
Its time to do it again and do it proper
Where: Holiday Inn near Downtown and Harris Hill Track.
When: January 30-31st.
Friday January 29th.
6-10pm Out of town guests can check in to Hotel (Holiday Inn off I35 near the River near downtown). Meet up for drinks in Hotel Lounge.
Saturday January 30th. Preliminary Itinerary.
9-10am. Sign in. Pick up Tee shirts
10am- Random Tech sessions in the parking lot
11am depart on cruise. We'll drive out in the hill country on some choice roads to meet up at a photo destination prepared.
1pm - have a lunch in the hill country at a Restaurant
3pm return to Austin.
5pm - Banquet begins in Hotel banguet Room. Guest Speaker, Raffle, Silent auction. Presentation on Audi history and models.
6pm-8pm - Catered dinner at the hotel. Bar available in the room.
Sunday January 31st.
7am - Depart Hotel for San Marcos Harris Hill Track. 1.8 mile course.
9am - Cars run on track in predetermined run groups. Instructors will be available. Ambulance onsite.
130pm - Track session over. Everyone go home tired with a smile.
More information and costs as it gets planned out. A block of rooms will soon be available. Use "Texas Audi Group"
Cost for the track event will be $95. I'll know more on the banquet costs later this week. It'll include the catered dinner and is required to attend the presentation and silent auction occuring simultaneously in the banquet room.
