Had a great couple of days in Nürburg, driving with the RS2 on the Nordschleife. On Saturday, there were some heavy rain for a few hours, and I had never driven the ring in the wet....there are some insanely slippery areas of the track!! After a while, I got a nice wet-line, and enjoyed passing GT3 RS's and M3's. They didn't stand a chance in the wet, especially not the ones who drove on Cup tires :lovl::harass::harass:
All in all, I managed around 30 laps over 2 days. With my new slightly larger radiators, even after 5 laps in a row, the water temp never climbed past 90degrees :) I also had a service, and a disc and pad change in Stuttgart at a VAG dealer a few days before, so the car was running very good all weekend.
I tried new tires this year. Pirelli P Zero, and all though they grip nicely in the dry, they can not compare to the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 I have used the last 2 years there, and especially not in the wet. The Goodyear tires also looked better after some days of driving on the track.
Some pics I found on the web:
