The Ohio Audi Club is putting on this second-ever driving school at Daytona International Speedway, the first being last December. A near-perfect venue for the RS6, I thought, due to Daytona's wide turns and 31 degree banking. Not much need to slow down until you enter the infield GT course at one end or the chicane at the other, in between "cruising" at 130-140 in the RS6 (one reached 150). There were 150 cars last year -- Porsches had plurality, followed by Audi and many others -- BMW, Benz, Lambo, an R8, some Minis, Corvettes, a Mustang or two, one Ferrari, etc. Limited to 100 this year. $999 isn't cheap but it's for three full days at a legendary facility whose tri-oval is very well suited to the RS6. The track is about six miles from the Atlantic coast. Daytona also is one of the few places in Florida where driving on the beach is allowed (slowly).
