And the host of the US version of the award wining UK series is..... Adam Carolla.

I don't know how i feel about this choice. I believe that the sole purpose of this show will be for entertainment. But then again, isn't that the case with the UK series... In this case, i would say that Adam works well, I am anxious to see who the rest of the cast is.

Right now i really enjoy Chris Harris. His recent review of the RS6 was extremely well done. While it may lack a bit in the "entertainment" aspect (compared to the extreme driving sequences, editing and locations of say top gear), it's comes out above and beyond as extremely informative and to-the-point.

+1 for Chris Harris.
Dunno about the NA version of Top Gear...just doesn't seem right.

He is an excellent pick for the US host. I am sure they could have picked someone whose opinions would be way different from the UK version. Listen to this, he shares many opinions with Americans that watch Top Gear over the internet.

In summary he prefers "other" racing vs. NASCAR. That's a win in my book.

Adam Corrolla is a sell out. He brings zip/zero/nada to the table as far as auto review/racing/anything. TOP GEAR would be better served to have a no-name newbie do the reviews than a punk. Someone passionate about racing, not passionate about NASCAR.

I mean look at that NOPI stuff! They have an absolute nobody-hotbody doing that show! She is just eye candy and no clue on review. I can't watch it, it is like counting rice (no pun intended).

Sorry for the venom...

He isn't, he prefers F1 and Le Mans racing versus NASCAR. You won't find many "celebrities" that would say so in the US.
