Dear Friends!
I've been waiting for this post since i registered here approx. 3 years ago.
On February 1st i received my new Audi! This is the first since i started to write on this board.
You may know from my signature that i used to have four Audis before but last
summer had to sell the last and got a used Jaguar in charge /because they were company-cars,
not mine/ I feel very happy now as i returned to the Audi community!
My car new car is a 2007 Audi A4 2.0 TDI Multitronic Garnet Red Pearlescent.
This was one of the last new model from B7 series. One week before i received it,
i testdrove the B8 2.0 TDI 6 speed version, wasn't bad but that car wasn't felt like a real Audi to me,
that was "too new", that's why i decided to go for the old one, but for a "new old model" /i hope you understand.../
This strange colour was not my choice, the car was a demonstration car so i need to get satisfied with it because that was the last B7.

All i can say you about Multitronic is that it's magnificient! I've driven several Tiptronic
cars, owned several manual Audis, but nothing can touch this!
As this is a B7, it has the old PD TDI engine, but because it's a Multitronic,
it's about 10% faster than B8 2.0 TDI on a specific rev.
For example B8 reaches 160km/h on 3000rpm,
mine reaches 175-180km/h on 3000! This was really amazing for me!
The other fantastic thing about it is the S mode. On older Tiptronics, or in my Jaguar, S
mode made little, hardly noticable difference, but here....
it feels like the car wants to blast off! Never experienced anything like this on a four cylinder diesel!

I made some pictures of the car before my house, here are them:

Great news & nice car.

I know what you are talking about - the only difference is that i'm waiting since 1980 (see the story here: 3rd post http://www.rs6.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1188 )
I did not want to buy one when it would be a compromise, knowing i would own an Audi that was not the "dream come true". My friends tease me, because of it - actually one of them is driving a 2000 A6 C5 V6 2.8 quattro Tiptronic loaded (bought it for 18.000 EUR) - a superb Audi, but not for me. I fell for another one...

I had the opportunity to drive a lot of Audis in the past, but you might read a similar post to Toto's in the near future as well ;)

Wish me luck - again all the best to you Toto89 :thumb:

cheers

Thanks for the wishes, I'm staying in Miskolc, i'm also registered here FRAPPR (http://www.frappr.com/rs6com) but it puts me ca. 200km west from my town. So it's wrong, I'm staying in Miskolc.;)

Thanks, was just wondering, because sometimes I have to be in the east of Hungary near the Rumanian border, near Bekescaba.

I love the roads in your country man, at least you can still put the pedal to the metal :hihi:

Ahh...those roads are "scary". I almost have bad dreams because of them...You can not even call it as a road, they are full of potholes. If you are lucky, somewhere you can find some road between the potholes.:vgrumpy:

I think your roads are much better than roads in Slovakia :) I mean safer, faster and simply better :) . For example if you go from Slovakia to Croatia it's free of charge, but if you go through Austria you have to pay extra money for highways and it isn't much faster Hungary roads. Yes I know that roads in Austria are advanced but in Hungary is it not so bad :) cheers.
