I wish you could post the results, just so we can see for ourselves. I'm surprised that it was able to humilate the 335i, it's a very capable car.

hm i didn't recognize the facts at the moment,i will look them up.

But it acclerated faster, drove better, and braked shorter.

The speaker said... this duell has not won the best sportscoupe... but the allrounder (he ment the 335i, because he won only with the fact that it was 10.000 € cheaper than the S5)

This was a similar result to the one AUTOCAR had between the two, the S5 won every discipline and was reckoned to be measurably quicker on twisty roads but the value compared to the 335i was the telling factor. It was better but they didn't think it was worth the extra.

I can live with that opinion, I put sheer quality and allrounder ability as worth every extra penny, especially in something so pretty.

On a track the time may be close but out on a twisty road the S5 will left it for dead. That is a fact, unless you are a professional the manner of the quattro set-up will give you confidence that simply isn't there is almost any rwd car and that include Porsches. And that's from experience driving Boxsters.

To the price issue:

You could add here a test, comparing a S5 with an M3.
Telling M3 is better in every discipline.
but then, saying the S5 is the overall better car, because it costs 13.000€ less than the M3 ;)

The BMW won, because the deciding point was the financial one.
It is, i guess, 10.000€ Cheaper than the S5, so it toke the overall win, though the S5 was the overall better car.

This is why i said, let the S5 compete with the M3, the M3 is better, but the S5 is 13.000 € Cheaper, so, would the S5 be the overall winner than?
