I know the Summer is about to be over, but if you are still holding any available time to take vacation, please keep this place in your radar. Mallorca and Ibiza for sure!!!

I spent 8 days in Palma de Mallorca, with an additional 2 days in Ibiza. Great catamaran rides between Mallorca and Ibiza.

Anyway, if you plan to visit, spend sometime downtown Palma, as well as the port of Portal-Nous. A bit crazy and also fun is Palma Nova.

A great place to stay is at the center of Palma. Look for Puro Hotel, and its pool on the beach namely Puro Beach. The hotel has great food, great rooms, and a nightlife that rocks! Crew at the place is amazing as well.

You must drive on the West side of the island. Great mountain range with wonderful views as well as great drive. Nice small towns with great restaurants as well. Small though. As farther out from Palma you go, you will notice that less English is spoken, and full fledge Spanish is on!

Obviously some sightseeing has to be involved. You can find me In-Da-Bus on the photos below.

One of the stops on the sightseeing tour is the castle about 7KMs from town if I'm not mistaken. Great views. Great access. About 2 Euros to get in. The place also serves as a theater in the evenings. What a treat. To think this place actually served as a prison for many years. The sin!!! I'd live there! View from the top.

Don't forget to check out The Cathedral. Really something else!

If you happen to be part of the Spanish Royal Family, you will recognize this residence, right next to The Cathedral. This is where they royals spend their evenings while vacationing in this paradise.

If you are going there, bring confortable shoes and sandals. Lots to walk! The towns are far and many not worth touching. Portals-Nous most definitey worth many visits though, both day and mostly nights. Saw many nice cars, including a B5 RS4 (red) for the first time, and a great looking Sprint Blue RS2. UNBELIEVABLE! And side by side too.
Most beaches seem to allow for topless women to be around, so don't get alarmed. And don't forget to check out the nightlife. Enjoy your Summer!

PS: just came back from a week in Stone Harbor, NJ (Jersey Shore) and loved it too. Stay at the Golden Inn if you ever go there. On for 2 weeks in The Azores come next week, so there will be a special treat in the RS6 Trance Sessions!
Out!!!!

Nene,

You should of told me you were visiting Mallorca. i use to spend approximately six to eight weeks there during the summer months. We have a place in Paguera which is in Calvia, about 20minutes Taxi ride from Palma. (Lotsa friendly Germans here!)

Did you visit the caves up North? They have fish that have no eyes. :) And the West coast has spectacular views. Also, Santa Ponca, not far from out pad is the place for boat spotting.

Next time you visit get in touch.

Thanks Klint for the info. I would say we saw about 60% of the West Coast, and about 30% of the East Coast. Stayed mostly in the South though. I most definitely plan to go back. Will make sure to contact you.
It was very interesting to see how many German folks were there. Everyone was nice though, both tourists and natives! :)

I have to agree with RussinaM3! Just about now my mind/body/soul has been able to go into normal mode.
