back from austria - tired as hell

Oh man!, am I tired.... Started off on the 23th of february, drove 500km's in the RS2 to my parents house in the south part of Norway, met up with my friends, moved the luggage into the Q7, took the ferry to denmark, and drove 1500km's to Söll in Austria. There we drank our ass off every night, while beeing in the slopes all day. It can really take it out off you...

One day I headed 500km's back north to Plattling, a small town a couple of miles outside München. I had ordered a new brake upgrade from my RS2 at www.urquattro.net Hans Vierlbeck was a great guy, and gave me great prices and service! Highly recommended. I've enclosed a pic of a similar package.

On saturday the 3rd of March we all went back in the car, and started heading north again. We maxed the Q7 heading towards München, and the GPS clocked 230km/h, a full 20km/h over the speed in the instruction manual. And we were heavily loaded!The brakes were flawless. North of Nurenberg I was flashed with a bright orange flash at an overpass...speedcamera??? The traffic was moving at around 120km/h, and I was going 140km/h...

So... arriving in Hirtshals, Denmark, taking the ferry to Norway, changing back to the RS2, and heading for Bergen.

4000km's with 2 days of travel....puh.. glad to be back in Bergen with 600+ unread posts :)

looks like a lot of fun, one of true benefits of europe, drive 6+ hours and go from sun to winter/piste. (not that Norway is sun)

so I guess my avg. speed in spain, 220km/h was fast?

"Skiwelt" - the ski area where Söll is located, is the biggest combined skiarea in the world :) 250km with slopes, 73 bars and resturants and helluva nightlife:dig:

Ben, dark side of that is that there is no way in hell you will do 220 on CA highway for to long....:doh: because you will be skiing in different "department" :jlol:
