Okay looking to get a CPO Cayenne Turbo or the RS4, two totally different cars but this is what my choices are now.

Here is the scenario, I give up my RS6 to the wife for the RS4 or she gets the Cayenne Turbo and I continue to drive the RS6...

An RS4 beside that very nice looking Rs6 would be too enticing for me to pass up! Porsche Cayenne Turbos' are accomplished machines, but buy one if you really need an SUV. Also, if you are considering a current (pre-facelift) car, bear in mind its value will sink big time. It may have dropped already to a good price? Still, I say the Audi pairing will be niiiiice. You'll love the RS4.

After experiencing the RS6 and the Cayenne Turbo both drive very similarly with the exception of the Cayenne you are seating an extra foot higher, you get the same turbo lag only the ride of the Porsche is much better. Both are great but after you've experiencing the RS4 you wouldn't look sideways at the Cayenne, the RS4 is like no Audi before it and is the one to have, apart from that it's a manual, far better when the mood takes you to really drive the thing.

The only down side is the fact that though it is a little quicker in acceleration over the RS6, the RS6 will possibly feel the quicker because of the turbos kicking in and the kick down from the automatic, but still it the RS4 you should be choosing.

I don't envy your choice and like MR USER says you can move the RS4 on to the wife and get the new RS6 when it comes out.

I imagine your wife will be happy to drive either the Cayenne or the RS6. So why don't you do yourself :thumb: a favour and get the RS4, what an exceptional piece of machinery. And should you be still in doubt - just go and testdrive them. I would be surprised if the Cayenne would be still on your list after that.

Keep us posted on your decision - at RS6.com you will find admiration either way.

That's easy the Audi, I like the RS4 it look good it's fast/er it's practical
Besides the Audi would be easyer to park than the Cayenne SO you won't leave
Expensive paint on the walls or the other cars

I suppose your wife will prefer the cayenne as it has more "status" with the general public. Though if your wife has some knowledge about cars and their performances she will prefer the RS6.

I think you have to take into consideration what kind of roads you are riding mostly? As you own an RS6 which has a rather toughened up suspension I reckon your roads to be good, which enables you to go for the RS4 and enjoy that special piece of machinery.

But I support the choice of MR USER and LEADFOOT: wait for the new RS6 :addict:

Happy newyear to all!

Happy New Year guys, will since I picked up a CPO Cayenne Turbo yesterday the choice was made, I guess with bathroom and kitchen renovations finances were a bit of a concern....here is the whole story,

Flashback:
We traded in the X5 4.6 about 3 weeks ago for a CPO Cayenne S, unfortunately on paper the cars were similar of course the X5 had the edge...anyway wife and I drove the Cayenne for 600 miles/3 weeks and were upset with the delivery of power in it....therefore a bit of buyers remorse....the dealer we bought the P-car from was not too supportive on the buy back on the Cayenne S so I said screw it and started shopping for the RS4/Cayenne TT, anyway long story short the Audi dealer I deal with will not have a car for 30-60 days but they are willing to give me a car (RS4)for $3k under MSRP...all the others with the RS4 in stock were not willing to move on price.....as well not even willing to provide a test drive, so my thoughts I'm not spending $70k plus for a car I can't drive.....so Cayenne had the edge, test drive and price.....maybe an RS4 after it takes some depreciation or a 997 C2S/C4S, got a ride from the salesperson in and fell in love....

Here are pics of the new ride....

Some pics from the dealer...... yes wheels will have to go, I've got 20 inch Porsche Sport Techno's for the summer and I may go to 22's.....

My wife would have appreciate all 3 cars but she drove the Cayenne Turbo all day and she was very very happy....hopefully the 911 will be in our fleet in 2007...

As much as I love the RS4 without having driven one I'm not sure I can make another big commitment...I had a B6 S4 for about 2 years and traded it in for the RS6 and never looked back, I loved the B6 but dare I say I would prefer the RS6 and the Cayenne TT over it....

If it was a regular RS6 i would say RS4 all the way, but in your case you have one mean looking RS6 and i would think twice before getting rid of it or giving it to your wife.

that depend on what you want to do with the porshe cayenne. If you do a little bit of offroad and you want more interior space take it but if youre a city man take the rs4 for better acelleration and handling

by the way youre rs6 is so nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!
