This post is based on pure fiction. Neither do I have the money to buy the cars nor do I own the cars themselves. It was just a daydream.

Let's say you want to do a trip from Germany to Croatia. You have a very good friend there that you haven't seen for a long time.

The circumstances:
You are filthy rich.
You're going on your own.
You don't have/need alot of luggage.
You want to drive by car, cause since Top Gear you know that you're faster than a train/plane/whatever. :incar:
You want to travel with style, so "riced" cars are not allowed.

What car would you choose and why?

Here's my shortlist:

Mercedes CL 600 / CL 63 AMG
It's a proper GT car. Built for doing journeys like that. And the person you're travelling to likes Mercedes. :love2:

Audi S8 quattro
I think it's comfortable. You have enough power. You like Audis.

Audi R8 quattro
Same reasons as S8 but it looks better.

Aston Martin DB9
It looks astonishing. It's a GT car. And it's done very well on Top Gear.

Bugatti EB16/4 Veyron
Well, I think it's the most expensive, the most exclusive and fastest way to go.

Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano
It's good looking, has a fantastic engine and I think it's also pretty comfortable for doing long distances.

Pagani Zonda F Roadster
My personal dreamcar (Coupé or Roadster doesn't matter). The reason why I would choose the Roadster is, the person I would travel to likes roadsters. :love2:
Plus I've read that it's also very comfortable for a supercar.

So what would be your car?

Best regards,
Geist

Traveling alone, filthy rich, don't need a lot of luggage... hmm...

Bugatti or Zonda, nothing else.

Why? Cause I'm filthy freakin rich. Ferraris are for guys who think they're rich. Bugattis and Paganis are guys who know they're rich. ;)

Back on planet Earth where I am not filthy rich, have a wife and child and need luggage... RS 6 or S8.:0:

Why? Cause we're back in the real world. ;)

Well to tell you the truth non of these cars Why?
because non of these floats my boat
The car that does is the LP640 murcielago that's the car I want the most
But if I had to choose between these cars I would go for the bugatti Why?
The name says it all it's the most powerful fastest exclusive and expensive car
The world has ever seen That's why!!

Filthy rich? really really filthy rich?

Bugatti, no doubt. But I'd bring someone to fuel up the car out of sheer laziness, 15 minutes holding your right foot down and you can go and find the next fuel station...

Zonda F....I'm just in love with that car...the noise it makes it's just from another world.

Well if I was filthy rich I'd buy Audi and make them make me an RS8.

Who cares if it will tank the Bentley sales.

I'd be rolling around in the only RS8 on the planet.

But since I'm not filthy rich.....

I'd have to say the Merc AMG S65......Croatia is a long drive from Germany and comfort is priority no. 1

Bugatti. As Benman wrote, it's the car for people who really know that they are rich. Not trying to be it. And ofcourse.. you'll get to Croatia hell of a lot quicker! :D

1981 Volkswagen Transporter 1.6 diesel (50hp)

Why ??
Everything else you will drive after that will seem like the car of your dreams :lovl:

Something like this old bit of shit:

:noshake: :noshake: :noshake:

Seriously though, something like an S8 or a Maserati Quattroporte for a comfort & sports compromise.
If it were back roads only, a Ferrari 599 GTB sounds like fun.

from this list the bugatti for sure, i would also consider a carrera gt, because you don't have enaugh space for cd's, you need the engine to entertain you, or even a saleen s7 tt because its very exclusive and fast as hell

Kinda conservative and "long in the tooth" but, SL55 with Kleemann K2 Package. A great GT, rediculous power, awesome sound, you can put the top down, better weight distribution than the front heavy SL65. And also because you said not a lot of luggage and your friend likes Mercedes.

But if $ is no object, CLK DTM....

or if you can talk Mr.Aufrecht into borrowing this....(sorry flash wasnt on)

if pure thrill of it.
Mclaren F1 or TVR Cerbera

Quiet and thrilling
bugatti veyron

Comparable to MB[MBs are not like they were],
Bugatti EB112 or Maserati Quattroporte or VW Phaeton V10TDI w/ chip or MB 6.9 or Bentley Continental Flying Spur [RR are too ugly for me to be seen dead in one]

I'm not a fan of a lot of the new Astons,
would prefer a V8 Vantage.

luggage toting,
RS6+, VW phaeton V10TDI w/ chip, M5 wagon, VW Touareg W12

still love the F1,

As long as I can daydream to the fullest...I'd have to pick the McLaren F1.

Someone who lives near me actually has one or two. I freaked the one and only

time I saw it on public roads, had to stick my head out the window and watch it go

go, gone. Main reason for the F1: it has room for a beautiful woman on both

sides of you. Talk about scenery.

Now, the only decision is blonde, redhead or brunette?
