Race Touaregs 2, 4 of them. 2.5 5 cylinder TDI diesel with 285 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. VW looking strong this year.

Teams are:
Giniel de Villier from Southz-Africa (2nd in 2006) with German copilot Dirk von Zitzewitz.
Carlos Sainz and his French copilot Michel Périn.
Ari Vatanen (4 times winner) with Fabrizia Pons as copilot.
Mark Miller (5th in 2006) with his South African copilot Ralph Pitchford.
Indeed as chewyn specified these are 5 inline cyl 2.5 liter turbodiesels with 285 BHP, but with 600Nm of torque. Cylinderhead was adapted for maximum airflow and better response at every rev .
